Philharmonie Gelre is a regional concert band based in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Its 70 musicians come from a wide region around Arnhem. Philharmonie Gelre has a history of 80 years and over the last twenty-five years it has developed from a company band (the Akzo Nobel Filharmonie) into a symphonic wind orchestra with regional appearances. Philharmonie Gelre stands out with a big variety of performances: we perform around eight times a year, both in concert halls and in the open air, and often for a big audience. Philharmonie Gelre has a broad, interesting and appealing repertoire and it belongs to the top of the royal Dutch association of wind bands.
